Interior designer Megan Gorelick on turning spaces into sanctuaries

I spent most nights in high school glued to a green-cheetah-upholstered chair at a round wooden table, swirling pesto-covered pasta and swapping stories about boys and parties in exchange for wise and witty advice. That round table is the reason I love round tables so much: not a bad seat in the place.

The Queen of that same table (before anyone referred to anyone else as ‘queen’ or changed the spelling to ‘kween’) was Megan Gorelick: my best friend's mom who used words like "jouz" and "jingle" and who was busy building her interior design empire from the ground up—but never too busy for a three-hour dinner with us.

Megan is one of the reasons that I believe I can do anything—not only because she told me, but also because she showed me: when you mix a cocktail of hard work, intention, prayer, and passion, you can build a life of bliss.

As the Founder and leading lady behind Megan Gorelick Interiors, Megan turns homes into heavens. She transforms spaces into sanctuaries with bold colors, fun patterns, and unique personal touches…and even after 10 years, she's just getting started. For me, this mini-interview feels full-circle (round table pun intended). I hope it inspires you to transform your home into your heaven.
